Thank you for visiting my website! It has been a while since I’ve updated my information despite several new events. Nevertheless, all continues to go very well in Abu Dhabi and is even better now that I have completed my master’s degree work. I find that I have a lot more free time on my hands to travel, read, socialize, cook, workout, and even update my website.
I look forward to beginning my third year teaching at ACS and taking on my newest challenge - teaching a section of high school math. Time really does fly when you’re having fun. It’s hard for me to believe that I left the U.S. over six years ago to pursue a career in international teaching. I started my adventure working in the tourism industry in Spain, leaving Barcelona to pursue work in the teaching field in Mexico with my partner. After three years of teaching English in Mexico, we considered ourselves very fortunate to receive job offers from a top-notch international school in the United Arab Emirates. Professionally, we continue to learn and improve our teaching while working with several great brilliant and passionate educators. Likewise, personally, we have also learned so much more about life through living and experiencing a piece of Middle Eastern culture.
I don’t know what lies ahead for us in the future, but I hope to always continue to learn and grow, making new friends along the way and impacting lives in the process.
