As most of you have been informed, my time here in Mexico is quickly coming to an end. Three years really does fly by when you're living in paradise. I thank Tim Cahill for the following quote: "A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles." (To clarify, I don't believe he was referring to your number of Facebook friends.)
My life journey began in Wauconda, Illinois, and has carried me throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to all those individuals I've met along the way for their friendship, support, confidence, and inspiration. I will take with me and forever cherish your smiles, the laughs we shared, the difficult challenges we overcame, as well as all the other precious and everyday moments that have bound us together. I wish you all the very best.
At the end of June, Paul and I will pack up the car and begin the long haul back to Chicago to spend a month with friends and family before leaving to Abu Dhabi on August 1st. That's correct. We're moving to Abu Dhabi to work for the American Community School. I will be teaching middle school Spanish and couldn't be more excited about this opportunity.
The initial plan is to dedicate 4 or 5 years working at ACS to become an experienced and successful IB teacher, obtain my master's degree, and learn to speak, read, & write in Arabic. What can I say, I like to dream big. I will do my best to keep my website updated with photos and recent news. If you will be around the Chicagoland area in July and would like to get together, please let me know. Or if you're living in or around the UAE, also please let me know.
